Stars and Universe

Will you listen when the universe is conspiring to show you signs and things you have to look into? We keep asking for signs...pray that He show us the way. But what if signs have been there all this time and we are just blinded to notice them...or too stubborn to recognize them.

Most of the time we know what is wrong. Most often than not we know what to do. But we keep justifying the things we do even if we know it's not right. Is it that difficult to accept the things we can't change? Is it difficult to accept the things we can't do or we can't have? I guess because human in general are competitive and a survivor. Winning is everything...it's the realization we are in control and we have the power...no matter how small it is. It's in our nature to at least try and insist what we believe in.

What if having the power would mean realizing that we need to fail...that we need to give up? That being in control is trying to fight your own wants because you know it defies your core.

Maybe it will help if you would listen and be open to all possibilities. We keep asking why are we created to be in this world? I guess we'll never know until we find out for ourselves. The universe can show you but it is up to you to accept them and make it happen.

May peace be your journey my friend!

Please Don't Leave Me- Pink

A song I have been playing over and over in my car for a long drive...

Da da da da, da da da da
Da da da, da da
Da da da, da da
I don't know if I can yell any louder
How many time I've kicked you outta here?
Or said something insulting?
Da da da, da da

I can be so mean when I wanna be
I am capable of really anything
I can cut you into pieces
But my heart is broken
Da da da, da da

Please don't leave me (2x)
I always say how I don't need you
But it's always gonna come right back to this

Please, don't leave me
How did I become so obnoxious?
What is it with you that makes me act like this?
I've never been this nasty
Da da da, da da

Can't you tell that this is all just a contest?
The one that wins will be the one that hits the hardest
But baby I don't mean it
I mean it, I promise
Da da da, da da

Please don't leave me
Oh please don't leave me
I always say how I don't need you
But it's always gonna come right back to this
Please, don't leave me

I forgot to say out loud how beautiful you really are to me
I cannot be without, you're my perfect little punching bag
And I need you, I'm sorry
Da da da, da da
Da da da da, da da da da
Da da da, da da
Please, please don't leave me
(Da da da, da da)

Baby please don't leave me
(Da da da, da da)
No, don't leave me
Please don't leave me no no no
You say I don't need you
But it's always gonna come right back
It's gonna come right back to this
Please, don't leave me
Please don't leave me, oh no no no.
I always say how I don't need you
But it's always gonna come right back to this
Please don't leave me
Baby, please, please don't leave me

The Five Steps of a Breast Self-Exam

Step 1: Begin by looking at your breasts in the mirror with your shoulders straight and your arms on your hips.
Here's what you should look for:
  • Breasts that are their usual size, shape, and color
  • Breasts that are evenly shaped without visible distortion or swelling
If you see any of the following changes, bring them to your doctor's attention:
Dimpling, puckering, or bulging of the skin
A nipple that has changed position or an inverted nipple (pushed inward instead of sticking out)
Redness, soreness, rash, or swelling
Step 2: Now, raise your arms and look for the same changes.

Step 3: While you're at the mirror, look for any signs of fluid coming out of one or both nipples (this could be a watery, milky, or yellow fluid or blood).
Step 4: Next, feel your breasts while lying down, using your right hand to feel your left breast and then your left hand to feel your right breast. Use a firm, smooth touch with the first few finger pads of your hand, keeping the fingers flat and together. Use a circular motion, about the size of a quarter.

Cover the entire breast from top to bottom, side to side — from your collarbone to the top of your abdomen, and from your armpit to your cleavage.

Follow a pattern to be sure that you cover the whole breast. You can begin at the nipple, moving in larger and larger circles until you reach the outer edge of the breast. You can also move your fingers up and down vertically, in rows, as if you were mowing a lawn. This up-and-down approach seems to work best for most women. Be sure to feel all the tissue from the front to the back of your breasts: for the skin and tissue just beneath, use light pressure; use medium pressure for tissue in the middle of your breasts; use firm pressure for the deep tissue in the back. When you've reached the deep tissue, you should be able to feel down to your ribcage.

Step 5: Finally, feel your breasts while you are standing or sitting. Many women find that the easiest way to feel their breasts is when their skin is wet and slippery, so they like to do this step in the shower. Cover your entire breast, using the same hand movements described in Step 4.

If you are:
  • 20's++ - monthly self breast exam
  • 30's++ -
    • monthly self breast exam
    • clinical exam annually
    • mamography/ sodomamography (at 35 if you are at high risk)
  • 40's++ -
    • monthly self breast exam
    • clinical exam annually
    • mamography/ sodomamography annually

Earlier detection is always the best cure...save life and know your own body.

H & E @ G4 (Rockstar Edition)

Used to be Heaven and Eggs and now they named it H & E (the rockstar edition). They changed their theme from countryside sunny with yellow and wind mill design to rockstar modern interiors. Food were named from rockstar legends as well (Eggs Zepellins; Guns & Griddle; Hendrix Hot Links Omelet; Mick Jaggers's Chicken and Buscuits;  Van Halen's Frech Toast, etc). The food is okay...I was disappointed with the steak for it sobrang kunat. I had to return it and order another beef dish. The second one was raw to my taste...told the waiter to have it well done. But I was hungry so I ate it anyway.  Not sure if it was the meat that time but I ate there before and food was great naman. Mashed potato was okay and asparagus. Hopefully next time around I will be more pleased.

May Humps

What is Myoma?

Myoma -A solid tumor made of fibrous tissue, hence it is often called a 'fibroid' tumor. Most often slow-growing and usually cause no symptoms. The most frequently diagnosed tumor of the female pelvis and the most common reason for a woman to have a hysterectomy. The condition usually affects women over the age of 30 and women who have never been pregnant are particularly susceptible. The main symptom of a myoma is excessive, painful menstrual bleeding.

Anyone initially diagnosed with this is suggested to bear a child soon before the humps grows to full blown and hysterectomy will be done.

There are three common types of uterine myoma (fibroid), classified primarily according to location in the uterus:

  1. Submucosal uterine myoma (fibroid)
This is when the myoma develops just under the lining of the uterine cavity. This type of uterine myoma often causes heavy menstrual bleeding as well as problems with fertility and miscarriages.

  2. Subserosal uterine myoma (fibroid)
This is when the myoma develops on the outer portion of the uterus and continue to grow outward.

  3. Intramural uterine myoma (fibroid)
This is the most common type of uterine myoma. They develop within the uterine wall and expand. This makes the uterus look and feel larger than normal (may causes bulk symptoms").

What are Common symptoms?

  • Pain in the back of the legs
  • Pelvic pain or pressure
  • Very heavy and prolonged menstrual periods
  • Pressure on the bowel which may lead to constipation and/or bloating
  • An enlarged abdomen (this may be mistaken for weight gain or pregnancy)
  • Pain during sexual intercourse
  • Pressure on the bladder which results in: a perpetual need to urinate, incontinence, or the inability to empty the bladder

For Upset Tummy

Who says you can't enjoy eating healthy? When someone is sick that is the time you can exaust all your effort in thinking what food to cook to make him well. He was suffering indigestion for days already so I decided to make a meal that he can eat and enjoy at the same time. Anyone sufferring from diarrhea make sure to remember these things so as not to worsen the condition:

  • Drink lots of water, gatorade or glucolite to prevent dehydration
  • No oily and fatty food
  • Avoid beef and pork...steamed white meat chicken and fish are better for they can be digested easier plus you get your daily protein needs.
  • No dairy products except for Yogurt. Look for yogurt that contains live or active cultures.
  • Try white rice and mashed potatoe-skip the butter and milk. Add spices instead for flavor
  • White bread and crackers -eat whole grain products
  • Have some tea-Chamomile and Peppermint is the best for it has a soothing effect.
  • Eat Bananas- it calms upset stomach
  • Avoid Sugar -Free food-it can have laxative effects
  • Avoid gas producing food-Beans, Broccoli, Cabbage, Cauliflower, Onions, Sweet potatoes

Here are pictures of the food I made...talk about comfort food:

Seven Years Saga and Over

It's been years that we keep in touch and remain friends. We were more than friends for a long time but decided to keep it platonic a couple of years back. It was a relationship that was not meant to last.

Though we managed to live our lives separately there is this thin thread that keeps us connected somehow. Maybe because we have been through a lot when we were together. Through a lot in a sense that we witness most of the great and worst things that happened in our lives. For some time he was that one person you run to when things go wrong. That one person who will never forsake you and will be there no matter what. That one person who will listen to anything you have to say. Though we don't talk often we just know where to pick up when we get in touch.

Today I decided to cut that thin thread that connects us. There is no sense of keeping it. Maybe that is the only thing that is holding everyone from moving on and living their own life separatetly. For the longest time I kept everything he has given me...maybe because I never thought of throwing it away yet...or just never get the chance to. Whatever reason that is keeping me from doing it I don't know. But last night I finally did. Time to clean your closet of old stuff...time to let go of those old stuff. I have this self imposed policy of not keeping memories , cards, pics or anything that will remind me of my past relationship. This is out of respect for whoever I am with or anyone in the future.

For so long I never thought I can get through this...it was easier than expected but of course you still feel that little part of you dying. Any memory of anyone may it be a lover, friend or family that goes away permanently will always be a part of you. When you try to get over it ...that part of you dies with it.
Today the 7 years saga ends...finally it ends and I am free. A closure I have been wanting for so long.

Friday Madness

Went to hangout at Hyatt Music Bar again...this is becoming our Friday habit. As usual our great baristas served us with superb drinks again. Non-stop drinking until we gave up.

Right after around 2:00AM when the DJ left I started taking over and played my own music at the bar. They usually play R & B and Hiphop songs but this time I played Chillout and House music. Based on the what I see I think they loved it...they were dancing to my music. hahaha I am not DJ Wannabe.
