- you will always understand (even if you are just being patient or polite)
- that you will always do what they say (because you are forced to)
- that you are happy (just because you are smiling)
- you are thrilled about the whole thing (even if it is boring)
- you are their slave (because you get paid for it)
- that you don't need romance, surprises and attention (because you don't ask for it)
- that they can order you around (because they are the big fish and you are the small one)
- that you are a millionaire (because you have a better job)
- that you spend less because you earn more (even if you live on your own and pay for everything)
- that you party all the time (when most often you are just at home)
- that you cheat just because someone likes you (even if you don't like them back)
- that what you got is just a flu (when it is something more)
- that you are better off because you got money (when all you needed is to be loved)
- that you are okay just because you don't talk (even if you just want to keep it down)
- that you don't need help just because you don't ask for it (you don't want to be a burden to them)

Andrea Bocelli — Con Te Partiro
Sogno all'orizzonte
E mancan le parole
Si lo so che non c'?luce
In una stanza
Quando manca il sole
Se non ci sei tu con me, con me.
Su le finestre
Mostra a tutti il mio cuore
Che hai acceso
Chiudi dentro me
La luce che
Hai incontrato per strada
Time to say goodbye
Paesi che non ho mai
Veduto e vissuto con te
Adesso si li vivro.
Con te partiro
Su navi per mari
Che io lo so
No no non esistono piu
It's time to say goodbye.
Quando sei lontana
Sogno all'orizzonte
E mancan le parole
E io si lo so
Che sei con me con me
Tu mia luna tu sei qui con me
Mio sole tu sei qui con me
Con me con me con me
Time to say goodbye
Paesi che non ho mai
Veduto e vissuto con te
Adesso si li vivro.
Con te partiro
Su navi per mari
Che io lo so
No no non esistono piu
Con te io li rivivro.
Con te partiro
Su navi per mari
Che io lo so
No no non esistono piu
Con te io li rivivro.
Con te partiro
Io con te.
Time to Say Goodbye
----------------------
When I'm alone
I dream on the horizon
And words fail;
Yes, I know there is no light
In a room
Where the sun is not there
If you are not with me.
At the windows
Show everyone my heart
Which you set alight;
Enclose within me
The light you
Encountered on the street.
Time to say goodbye,
To countries I never
Saw and shared with you,
Now, yes, I shall experience them,
I'll go with you
On ships across seas
Which, I know,
No, no, exist no longer;
With you I shall experience them.
When you are far away
I dream on the horizon
And words fail,
And yes, I know
That you are with me;
You, my moon, are here with me,
My sun, you are here with me.
With me, with me, with me,
Time to say goodbye,
To countries I never
Saw and shared with you,
Now, yes, I shall experience them,
I'll go with you
On ships across seas
Which, I know,
No, no, exist no longer;
With you I shall re-experience them.
I'll go with you
On ships across seas
Which, I know,
No, no, exist no longer;
With you I shall re-experience them.
I'll go with you,
I with you.
Andrea and a Woman On Top
I decided to put on my earphones and play my Ipod. Browsing through my playlist there it was...Adrea Bocelli. I don't understand a word he is singing..how I wish I do. Surprisingly he can calm my nerves. I will just have to play his album over and over until this neanderthal stops playing his nerve wracking music. Another album on my playlist are the soundtracks from Woman on Top (Brazilian Bossa Nova Song from a movie) and Princess Hour (Korean Songs from a telenovela). I don't know what's with foreign music...regardless if I understand the words I just appreciate their music. Nothing beats French music of course either an original composition or version.

Fr Michael Sinnott- A Survivor
I was fortunate to have received his blessings when he held my hand while he was walking to exit the church considering the flock of people who wants to get his blessings. It was nice and touching moment. Lessons learned is to alway be thankful for our life and blessings and we can all survive whatever it is we are going through with HIS help.
Fr Sinnott (79) - A Columban Missionary originally from Wexford was taken hostage by armed gunmen in Pagadian city on October 11th.
Cure for Cancer?

CRYOSURGERY- is the application of extreme cold to destroy abnormal or diseased tissue. This is a non-invasive procedure and use needles to super freeze the tumor. They use CT Scan to detect the cancer cells and prick the needle to it. Liquid nitrogen or argon gas is circulated through a hollow instrument called a cryoprobe, which is placed in contact with the tumor. The doctor uses ultrasound or MRI to guide the cryoprobe and monitor the freezing of the cells, thus limiting damage to nearby healthy tissue. May have fewer side effects than other types of treatments, and is less expensive and requires shorter recovery times.
This is currently done in FUDA Cancer Hospital, China and can cost you at least PHP 250, 000 for every treatment. A patient will at least require 3 treatments or depending on the severity of the case.
Most people don't understand what a tumor patient feels unless you have been diagnosed yourself. We tend to take things lightly and just dismiss the idea like a flu that will go away. I was bothered by the patients who gave their testimonials about their illness and the treatments they underwent. It is disturbing to see a very healthy and lively young adult slowly succumbs to cancer.
News on a cure for cancer gives hope to those who have been diagnosed with a tumor whether benign or malignant. I salute these doctors who never stop in helping and giving hope to all the cancer patients out there.

Back to School
Options:
* Reviewing for PMP- this is my priority and the most feasible one for now. Though a tough certification to get I need at least 6 months to review and study. I need to read the PMBOK at least 3 times apart from the other books I had to browse through.
* Take MBA @ either DLSU or Ateneo- have always wanted to take this right after college but didn't find the time or can't give my commitment to finish this. Been prioritizing work over everything for so long.
* Take Language Class- I have always been facinated with French and Spanish language. One limitation with learning these language here in Pinas is that nobody speaks it and I won't be able to put it into practice.
* Culinary Arts- My love for cooking is the one pushing me to do this. Maybe eventually when I am sure in finally putting up my dream resto.
* Play Saxophone- I got my saxophone since last year but haven't enrolled in a class yet. Not sure if I want to push through this.
What will I take? What do I do? I want to make my weekend productive not mention I want to keep learning. I definitely want to do all of this the only problem is which one first.

The Only Thing I Hold On To
As we go through life we can't avoid failures and pain. They make us stronger and better people. We just have to learn from them and move on. There is no sense of lingering over spilled milk. Of course there will be sadness and loneliness...we are human and we are predisposed to feel like that. The only thing that differs is how long will you allow yourself to be in that state.
Someone gave me cross...he got it while at the church attending a mass. A simple and yet meaningful gift.
I wish you well...the same way you wish the best for me.

How do you surprise a woman?
• Dinner with candle light, sweet music, flowers and the works. Doesn't have to be expensive...be creative. You can cook for her and dine at the veranda or anywhere with a view.
• Give her a nice massage after a long day's work...set the mood by putting scented candles or oil burner and dim the lights.
• Buy her something...you can splurge if you got the dough...but you can keep it simple if you are on a budget. It's not the price that counts but the thought and presentation.
• Give her flowers on unexpected days...you don't need occasions for this...do it the old way...every woman would swoon over this. A dozen of newly sharpened pencil or a dozen of BananaQue are more unique. This is a sure winner especially if she is mad at you for something you did wrong.
• Go on an instant picnic...don't tell her where you are going but surprise her with picnic by the beach or roof top or anywhere romantic.
• Make her breakfast (pancake, bacon, eggs, orange juice, etc).
• Slip a note on her wallet or bag saying how much you adore her...love her...makes you happy.
• Give her a card without any reason.
• Pamper her when she is sick...remind her to take her medicines every time she is scheduled to take it.
• Hire someone to serenade her at work or at home.
• Put a reminder on her phone or calendar and just say something sweet.
• Send her an invitation via snail mail on a dinner or any event you wish to take her.
The list can go on and on but for now these are all I can think of. There are times I keep thinking I was an Italian man in my past life. I am not a master with these things but I do try to understand man and woman.
Good luck!

Stars and Universe
Most of the time we know what is wrong. Most often than not we know what to do. But we keep justifying the things we do even if we know it's not right. Is it that difficult to accept the things we can't change? Is it difficult to accept the things we can't do or we can't have? I guess because human in general are competitive and a survivor. Winning is everything...it's the realization we are in control and we have the power...no matter how small it is. It's in our nature to at least try and insist what we believe in.
What if having the power would mean realizing that we need to fail...that we need to give up? That being in control is trying to fight your own wants because you know it defies your core.
Maybe it will help if you would listen and be open to all possibilities. We keep asking why are we created to be in this world? I guess we'll never know until we find out for ourselves. The universe can show you but it is up to you to accept them and make it happen.
May peace be your journey my friend!

Please Don't Leave Me- Pink
Da da da da, da da da da
Da da da, da da
Da da da, da da
I don't know if I can yell any louder
How many time I've kicked you outta here?
Or said something insulting?
Da da da, da da
I can be so mean when I wanna be
I am capable of really anything
I can cut you into pieces
But my heart is broken
Da da da, da da
Please don't leave me (2x)
I always say how I don't need you
But it's always gonna come right back to this
Please, don't leave me
How did I become so obnoxious?
What is it with you that makes me act like this?
I've never been this nasty
Da da da, da da
Can't you tell that this is all just a contest?
The one that wins will be the one that hits the hardest
But baby I don't mean it
I mean it, I promise
Da da da, da da
Please don't leave me
Oh please don't leave me
I always say how I don't need you
But it's always gonna come right back to this
Please, don't leave me
I forgot to say out loud how beautiful you really are to me
I cannot be without, you're my perfect little punching bag
And I need you, I'm sorry
Da da da, da da
Da da da da, da da da da
Da da da, da da
Please, please don't leave me
(Da da da, da da)
Baby please don't leave me
(Da da da, da da)
No, don't leave me
Please don't leave me no no no
You say I don't need you
But it's always gonna come right back
It's gonna come right back to this
Please, don't leave me
Please don't leave me, oh no no no.
I always say how I don't need you
But it's always gonna come right back to this
Please don't leave me
Baby, please, please don't leave me

The Five Steps of a Breast Self-Exam
Here's what you should look for:
- Breasts that are their usual size, shape, and color
- Breasts that are evenly shaped without visible distortion or swelling
Dimpling, puckering, or bulging of the skin
A nipple that has changed position or an inverted nipple (pushed inward instead of sticking out)
Redness, soreness, rash, or swelling
Step 2: Now, raise your arms and look for the same changes.
Step 3: While you're at the mirror, look for any signs of fluid coming out of one or both nipples (this could be a watery, milky, or yellow fluid or blood).
Step 4: Next, feel your breasts while lying down, using your right hand to feel your left breast and then your left hand to feel your right breast. Use a firm, smooth touch with the first few finger pads of your hand, keeping the fingers flat and together. Use a circular motion, about the size of a quarter.
Cover the entire breast from top to bottom, side to side — from your collarbone to the top of your abdomen, and from your armpit to your cleavage.
Follow a pattern to be sure that you cover the whole breast. You can begin at the nipple, moving in larger and larger circles until you reach the outer edge of the breast. You can also move your fingers up and down vertically, in rows, as if you were mowing a lawn. This up-and-down approach seems to work best for most women. Be sure to feel all the tissue from the front to the back of your breasts: for the skin and tissue just beneath, use light pressure; use medium pressure for tissue in the middle of your breasts; use firm pressure for the deep tissue in the back. When you've reached the deep tissue, you should be able to feel down to your ribcage.
Step 5: Finally, feel your breasts while you are standing or sitting. Many women find that the easiest way to feel their breasts is when their skin is wet and slippery, so they like to do this step in the shower. Cover your entire breast, using the same hand movements described in Step 4.
If you are:
- 20's++ - monthly self breast exam
- 30's++ -
- monthly self breast exam
- clinical exam annually
- mamography/ sodomamography (at 35 if you are at high risk)
- 40's++ -
- monthly self breast exam
- clinical exam annually
- mamography/ sodomamography annually

May Humps
Myoma -A solid tumor made of fibrous tissue, hence it is often called a 'fibroid' tumor. Most often slow-growing and usually cause no symptoms. The most frequently diagnosed tumor of the female pelvis and the most common reason for a woman to have a hysterectomy. The condition usually affects women over the age of 30 and women who have never been pregnant are particularly susceptible. The main symptom of a myoma is excessive, painful menstrual bleeding.
Anyone initially diagnosed with this is suggested to bear a child soon before the humps grows to full blown and hysterectomy will be done.
There are three common types of uterine myoma (fibroid), classified primarily according to location in the uterus:
- Submucosal uterine myoma (fibroid)
This is when the myoma develops just under the lining of the uterine cavity. This type of uterine myoma often causes heavy menstrual bleeding as well as problems with fertility and miscarriages. - Subserosal uterine myoma (fibroid)
This is when the myoma develops on the outer portion of the uterus and continue to grow outward. - Intramural uterine myoma (fibroid)
This is the most common type of uterine myoma. They develop within the uterine wall and expand. This makes the uterus look and feel larger than normal (may causes bulk symptoms").
What are Common symptoms?
- Pain in the back of the legs
- Pelvic pain or pressure
- Very heavy and prolonged menstrual periods
- Pressure on the bowel which may lead to constipation and/or bloating
- An enlarged abdomen (this may be mistaken for weight gain or pregnancy)
- Pain during sexual intercourse
- Pressure on the bladder which results in: a perpetual need to urinate, incontinence, or the inability to empty the bladder

- White bread and crackers -eat whole grain products
- Have some tea-Chamomile and Peppermint is the best for it has a soothing effect.
- Eat Bananas- it calms upset stomach

Emergency Escapade
I was then endorsed to the Primary Care unit of the ER. Waited another 30 minutes to be attended. Another 15 minutes to be checked. Underwent initial screening for stroke...thanks goodness I passed that. The doctor requested my glucose/ sugar and blood tested. Another hour of waiting to get tested. Another hour to get the results.
I was diagnosed with Perpetual Vertigo, Hypoglycemia and Headache. They injected me with meds to keep me stable and I had to stay in the hospital until I can drive myself back home.
I didn't ask anyone to take me to the ER for I have always been independent and never rely on anyone especially on these things. I have been in this situation before where I had to go back and forth to the hospital every 2 weeks for years. I managed to get through it alone and I know I will be able to manage again this time. The doctor said I have to see an Endocrinologist to have my sugar and insulin checked plus an OB to see if my PCOS re-occurred. Hopefully I can do that anytime soon.
For now...here I am surviving this roller coaster ride that I alone am on...Vertigo sucks!

UNexpressway Skyway
Onli in da Pilipins...where expressway traffic is as bad as the regular roads on Friday night. Everyone from down south can relate to me on this experience. Ito ang eksena while I was rushing to go to Las Pinas and I decided to take the Skyway thinking it will be faster. Nevermind that I will pay extra on the toll for it's a Friday and traffic is chaotic in the Metro as expected. I was stuck for an hour on the Skyway...grabe my legs were killing me. Then there is this bus sobra nanggigitgit ayon napunta tuloy ako sa "e-pass only" lane. Thinking it was okay and I will just pay cash on the teller. Crap when I approached the toll gate there is no teller around. Good thing yung harang is still up and it gave me a green light. Pag sineswerte ka nga nman...I didn't get to pay the skyway toll. When I took the Sucat exit I was charged with the regular rate. I know I should be guilty for not paying the skyway but not my fault...walang teller eh. I was just lucky. =)

Egg Yolk si Ms. Malas!
Last year a few days after I finished my driving lessons I trashed a car. Savior Tatay ko kasi he was the one who made repairs on the other car na nasira and I was able to save at least around 22,000.Right after that when I finally got my car after 2 months while driving along Alabang ayon KAPLANG...ako nman ang binangga. A student driving a Ford Lynx hit my 2 doors on the right. Apart from the minor rim scratches from hitting gutters and parking concrete barriers eto major talaga. I felt the car move inches away from my lane due to the impact. She was crying and ako ata natawa na lang. Nasanay na mabangga. hahaha.
One bangga from another and the last one is today. Kung may BOY MALAS ako na ata si MS MALAS. Minaster ko na ata ang skills ng banggaan. Someone suggested I get a new car baka ung car jinx and another one suggested I get a driver. Ang hassle nman magtaxi na lang kaya ako?. Para may matutunan nman kayo sa article na to here's how to handle situations like this when you get into a car accident:
- Make sure you have your license and photo copy of your car registration. Always have a photo copy in your car. Get a copy of the car registration and license of the other party.
- Take photos of the cars habang hindi pa naalis sa area. Make sure to take photos of every angle. If you don't have a digicam with you then use your phone camera.
- Make sure you take note of the street/ area where the accident happened and also the time it happened for you need these details on the police report.
- Drive to a nearby MMDA station if no traffic enforcer is around the area.
- Get a police report detailing the accident. Usually they charge Php500 for this. A police report will include testimonials of both parties on what happened, photo copies of licenses and car registration and photos of the cars. According to the traffic enforcer it will take a week before you get the police reports but I think this really depends on the area you are in. Of course alam nyo na ano ang mga susunod na mangyayari sa ganitong situation. WHat happened to me is it took longer that it supposed to kundi pa naglagay ng pampabilis we won't get the report on time.
- Call the insurance and inform them on the accident
- Get estimates on how much the repairs will cost. You need this before filing for the insurance.
- File for your insurance and make sure to follow up.
- Once you receive the approval then proceed to the dealer where you will have your car repair. Take note of the expiration date when you can bring your car to the service center. Usually the insurance company will give you 30 days upon issuance.

Jaded
- Tired= been working my @$$ since the weekend...it's a long weekend and I didn't even get the chance to go out of town =(. Did get to hangout with family though and manage to squeeze in some drinks and karaoke. My car is coding today so another ordeal I have to get through is to get a cab and go home.
- Overworked= juggling 3 huge projects and they all committed my 100% time on all, managing 5 Project Managers, managing company project portfolio, hiring 3 Project Managers, doing presentations and documentations, attending 3-5 meetings daily...and the list goes on and on
- Hungry= no time to eat anymore especially on a weekday. Forgot to eat dinner last night and I am having my lunch just now and it's almost 6PM.
- Sleepy= don't have the time to sleep...apart from being an insomiac I had to bring home some work so I have time for other task during the day. Slept at 5 am the other day to finish my presentation.

My life have to change...things have to change. It's either I'll die soon or get ugly due to stress.
